Where design elevates function.

Kitchen design should not be painted with a broad brush; it must be looked at through a microscope.

Designing and remodeling a kitchen and/or a bathroom can be overwhelming as there are many decisions to be made. The layout, aesthetic, function, products and materials are just the beginning. As award-winning Dallas kitchen designers and experienced bathroom designers, we are adept at finding the balance between aesthetic, function, and resale value for the two most important rooms in the home.

OBSESSIVELY DESIGNED KITCHENS.

First, we focus on you. How do you cook? Do you entertain large crowds? Does your kitchen also need to serve as a homework space? Should your master bath function as a highly efficient “get you out of the door in the morning” space or serve as a true oasis where you can relax and unwind? Our kitchen and bath design services include everything from cabinetry planning to materials selections to a full design plan and remodel of your kitchen and bath. Whether your kitchen is small or large, modern or traditional, or somewhere in between, our expert design team will guide your experience.

OUR PROCESS

1 PROJECT INITIATION We begin with a Design Consultation. Your consultation is a working meeting at your home. We will tour the kitchen and/or bathroom space(s) you wish to design / renovate / update and seek a deeper understanding of your desires for the project, design style preferences, preliminary budget goals, timeline, etc. We will begin developing your unique scope of work based on your project wish list, review our Design Process, and explain how we can best work together. This is also a chance for us to meet face-to-face and see if we have chemistry–which is such an important part of your experience! Once we have completed our Consultation, we will draft up the appropriateDesign Contract over the next few days. Your contract will either be hourly or a flat-fee based on your unique kitchen and/or bath project.

2 RESEARCH, DESIGN, PRESENTATION Once we have received a signed design contract and retainer fee, we will schedule our initial site measure (or arrange to acquire any architectural plans for new construction projects). We will take all critical measurements, photos of your current kitchen or bath, and an inventory of items you currently store so we can accurately asses your functional needs. We will also begin a detailed analysis of any inspiration images you have been collecting. It is during this phase that we delve into your family dynamics to really understand how you live and want to experience your home. From our discoveries, we will collaborate to develop your project’s Unique Design Criteria, which will serve as our guide during problem-solving and design development. Next, we will create conceptual 2D floor plans and elevations, and develop a materials and color palette in preparation for initial concept presentation. Once we have an approved concept, we will implement all the necessary CAD details to prepare accurate estimates for any labor involved, thus creating a projected overall budget. We can partner with your preferred contractor or builder, or bring in our own. We will present and review the entire design (drawings, materials, physical samples, pricing, scope of work) with you in person either at your home or in our Dallas studio.

3 IMPLEMENTATION & PROJECT MANAGEMENT Upon approval of the final design and materials selections, we will collect a deposit to commence the ordering process, begin scheduling labor based on product lead times, and develop a projected timeline for you. Products and materials will be inspected and stored at our warehouse partner(s) until installation or delivered directly to your home when appropriate. We will provide a detailed Installation Binder for your builder/contractor that will include an overall materials specification sheet, scope of labor summary, floor plans, elevations, installation drawings, and any relevant product spec sheets. We will also help you plan for your the actual remodeling process whether it be directing you on how to set up a temporary kitchen or providing a list of our favorite local restaurants. Once your products have arrived, we’ll kick-off construction! One of our Principal Designers will be on site periodically to observe and inspect installations to ensure work is done in accordance with our approved design and professional standards. The length of the remodel process varies depending on your unique scope of work, materials, and site conditions. It is during this phase that the major transformation will take place. It ends with a brand new kitchen or bathroom!
