I entered High School during COVID. As freshman we were on line and unable to see or view the high school. The Teachers and Administration adapted and made our first 3 months of Freshman year bearable. We were able to make the choice to enter school after winter break and again the school did a great job in keeping us safe and engaged.
I play basketball so it was hard playing in masks but I was happy that the school allowed us to play.
The next three years seemed easy compared to our beginnings. The school used funds to help students by waiving fees and providing free lunch. A lot of teachers retired and that lead to the hiring of younger more engaged teachers and admin staff. SHS has vowed and is working on becoming more diverse and changing the culture to be more inclusive. I would like to see the older teachers receive more diversity training. And that the administration use more conversation to reach troubled youth, not suspension and expulsion.

My overall experience in Stoughton high school was great. I was able to learn how to interact with people from different cultures, age groups, and interest. I believe this school has some of the best teachers that actually support you and your future. I admire all the teachers I've had because they support me through thick and thin, they understand if there's problems and figures out how to fix them. This schools diversity is insane, this is the only school I've been too ,where I've seen so many people that come together and make a school welcoming. I enjoyed my four years of high school here even after COVID and all the things we had to deal with.

I have been at Stoughton for my whole schooling (k-12). I have seen and heard of other towns around Stoughton and realized that Stoughton has far greater diversity than the rest of the towns. I feel that this fact has allowed me to grow as a well-rounded person with experience with multiple cultures. I started at the West Elementary school, I had the chance to attend two of the five schools. The differences between the two were unbelievable. Since I was an immigrant, I was told to attend a school that has an English language learning program, the West Elementary School. I loved the West and was heartbroken when I had to move. I attended the Gibbons Elementary School from third grade till graduation afterward. While I hated to leave the West, I quickly found myself at home at the Gibbons. Each school was unique but I loved both. The worst part about the schooling system has to be the lax regulations. They are working to improve regulations and it has improved much.
